Gatherings make friends into a room

Recurring Gatherings help your friends meet each other, share one experience, and show who needs a personal reach-out.

A full social life is not only one-to-one chats. It is also a table, a walk, a book club night — a place where your friends meet each other. When people share a task or an experience, the bond is no longer only through you. The group gets a memory of its own.

Chat threads do not hold that. They hold logistics and jokes. They do not hold rhythm, attendance, or the quiet signal that someone keeps missing the night.

Needs attention and Gatherings calendar

Gather turns a Contact list into that shared rhythm. You mark the list as a Gathering, set a weekly or monthly schedule, and Memlane reminds you before the next date. Under Needs attention, you see who is on the list but attends least often in the range you pick — so you know who to invite personally, not only who already shows up.

Open gathering notes and who attended

On the month calendar, open a day to write Notes and mark Who attended. That record feeds the ranking. Past days stay dim. The day you select stands out. If a date did not happen, mark it Skipped.

A Gathering is not a second social network. It is a home for the groups you already have — dinner crew, neighbors, book club — so friends meet, share one focus, and you notice who needs a reach-out before the habit fades.
