Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 11, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Memlane collects, why we collect it, who processes it, and how you can remove it. It applies to the Memlane web application and to this website.
1. Who we are
Memlane is operated by ONLYHUMN LLC, 1007 N Orange St, 4th Floor, Suite #5984, Wilmington, Delaware 19801, United States(“Memlane”, “we”, “us”). We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy. For any privacy question or request, write to [email protected].
2. Information we collect
We collect only what the service needs to work. We do not buy or sell personal information from or to data brokers.
2.1 Information you give us
- Account data.Your name and email address from sign-in (email and password, Google, or Apple via Clerk). If you use Apple’s private email relay, we store the relay address instead of your personal address.
- iCloud contacts credential. When you connect iCloud, your Apple ID and an app-specific password. We encrypt the password at rest and use it only to sync contacts with your iCloud account.
- Google OAuth tokens. When you connect Google Contacts and/or Google Calendar, we store encrypted OAuth refresh tokens and the scopes you grant. We use them only to sync contacts, labels, and Gathering calendar events with your Google account.
- Contacts and lists. Memlane mirrors the contacts and Contact lists (or Google Labels) from the provider you connect, including the fields on each contact card. Your connected address book remains the system of record for synced fields, though we also store additional details that a contact card cannot hold.
- Content you create. Memories, Notes, Lanes, Routines, Gather, Relationship Map data, and your conversations with the AI assistant.
- Delivery settings. An email address for Queue notification digests. If you choose SMS, a mobile number you save in Settings, plus the verification reply (YES or CONFIRM) that records your consent to receive Memlane Queue texts.
- Support reports. When you submit a problem report we receive your message, the page URL, and basic account diagnostics.
2.2 Information we receive from others
- Billing data. Stripe processes Memlane Pro payments and tells us your customer identifier, subscription identifier, and subscription status. We never receive or store your full card number.
- Account event notices.Apple tells us when you revoke Memlane’s access or delete your Apple Account so that we can disable your Memlane account.
2.3 Information collected automatically
- Usage data. Google Analytics records pageviews and product usage events on the application and this website. Google may receive a hashed account identifier. It does not receive your email or name. When a Meta Pixel is configured, Meta records page views and sign-in or sign-up conversion events so we can measure ads. Meta does not receive your email or name from Memlane.
- Technical logs. We record request details, timing, and error information for security and debugging.
- Session cookies. We set a cookie to keep you signed in. It is required for the application and is not used for advertising.
3. Why we use your information
- To create your account and keep you signed in.
- To sync your contacts, lists or labels, and Gathering calendar events, and to write your changes back to the connected provider.
- To produce the features you ask for, such as Lanes, Routines, Gather, the Relationship Map, search, and AI assistant replies.
- To send Queue notification digests by email or, when you opt in, by SMS (verification texts and short digests of new Queue items).
- To take payment for Memlane Pro and to apply plan limits.
- To answer support requests and investigate problem reports.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and fix faults.
If the law of your country requires a legal basis, we rely on the performance of our contract with you for the features above, on your consent for SMS notifications, and on our legitimate interest in the security and improvement of the service.
SMS consent. We send SMS only after you save your own mobile number in Settings, reply YES or CONFIRM to our verification text, and enable Allow SMS. Those steps are your express consent to receive transactional Memlane Queue messages (verification and digests). Message frequency varies; digests are capped. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel. Reply HELP for help. We do not buy phone lists or text people who did not complete this opt-in.
4. Where your data is stored
We store your account data, contacts mirror, content, and technical logs on infrastructure that we operate and control in the United States. Only the people who run the service can reach it. If you use Memlane from outside the United States, your information is transferred there.
5. Service providers
These providers process personal information on our behalf, and only for the purpose listed. We do not sell your personal information.
- Apple — sign-in identity and optional iCloud contact sync.
- Google — optional Google Contacts and Google Calendar sync via OAuth; Google Analytics for pageview and product usage statistics (hashed account identifier when configured).
- Meta — Meta Pixel for ad performance measurement (page views and sign-in or sign-up events) when configured.
- Clerk — sign-in and account identity for email, Google, and Apple login.
- OpenAI — AI assistant replies and search embeddings.
- Stripe — Memlane Pro payments and the billing portal.
- Bird — Queue notification email and SMS delivery (including phone verification texts and inbound YES, CONFIRM, STOP, and HELP replies).
- Amazon Web Services — storage for technical MCP call logs only (not notification delivery).

We also disclose information when the law requires it, and to protect our rights or the safety of users.
6. Google Workspace APIs and Limited Use
When you connect Google Contacts or Google Calendar, Memlane uses Google Workspace APIs (including the People API and Calendar API) to read and write data you authorize. The use of raw or derived user data received from Workspace APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We do not use, transfer, or sell Google user data—including raw, aggregated, or derived data—to create, train, or improve foundational or generalized machine learning or artificial intelligence models. We use that data only to provide and improve Memlane’s user-facing features for your account (contact and calendar sync, lists/labels, Gatherings, search, and AI assistant replies that you request).
7. AI features
When you use the AI assistant or search, we send the relevant contact, memory, and note text to OpenAI so that it can produce a reply or an embedding. That text can include data synced from Google Workspace APIs when you have connected Google. We do not send your data to OpenAI, or to anyone else, to train or improve their foundational or generalized models. AI output can contain mistakes, so check it before you act on it.
8. How long we keep your data
We keep your account data and content while your account exists. When you delete your account we remove your data shortly after your request. Technical logs and backups age out on a rolling basis. Billing records stay with Stripe for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
9. Your rights and choices
- Delete your account.Open Settings and request account deletion. We remove your account, your contacts mirror, and your content from our systems. We do not delete the contacts in your iCloud or Google Contacts account, or events outside Memlane’s Gatherings calendar handling.
- Withdraw a contacts or calendar connection. For iCloud, revoke the app-specific password in your Apple ID settings. For Google, disconnect in Memlane Settings and/or revoke Memlane access in your Google Account permissions. If you revoke Memlane’s sign-in access, we disable the account and remove your data on the same path.
- Turn off notifications. Use the Queue notification toggles in Settings (including Allow SMS). Reply STOP to a Memlane SMS to cancel text messages. Reply HELP for help. See also Queue notifications.
- Access, correction, and portability. Write to [email protected] to ask for a copy of your personal information or a correction.
- Complaints. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
We answer rights requests within the period the applicable law sets, and we do not charge you or reduce your service for making one.
10. Security
We encrypt traffic in transit, encrypt contacts connection credentials and Google OAuth tokens at rest, keep each account’s data separate, and limit repeated requests to sensitive features. No service on the internet can promise perfect security, so please use a secure device and network.
11. Children
Memlane is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to hold an account, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us data, write to us and we will remove it.
12. Changes to this policy
We can update this policy. The date at the top shows the last change. If a change materially affects how we handle your personal information, we will give notice in the application or by email before it takes effect.
