Recurring groups need more than a chat thread
Turn a Contact list into a Gathering with a schedule, reminders, and gathering notes.
Life gets busy. Groups drift when "next time" has no home — the same leftover line: "We should do dinner again." The last time lived in a group chat. Nobody owns the next date. Months pass. The habit dies without a fight, only drift.

Your address book already holds the people. What it does not hold is the rhythm of the group.
Gather turns a Contact list into that rhythm. Mark a list as a Gathering, set weekly or monthly recurrence, and choose how many days before to remind yourself.

When the reminder fires, Memlane puts an item in your Queue and opens a gathering where you can note what happened and who showed up. If that date did not happen, mark the gathering Skipped from Gatherings or the Queue.

Gather gives the people you already have a place for "next time," plus a short memory of last time.
Start from Gather, or mark a list on the Contacts board.
